One of our valued partners is Life in the Heartland (LITH), a centralized resource for residents looking for information related to industry development. One of its initiatives include hosting an industry-community meeting twice a year where industry companies meet collectively with neighbours and provide development/project updates.
As well, there are four Community Advisory Panels (CAPs) in the region where residents and industry meet on a regular basis to discuss topics of interest related to their community, or concerns they may have with industry. The four CAPs are:
- Dow/MEGlobal CAP
- Plains Midstream/Keyera/Petrogas CAP
- Agrium Fort Saskatchewan CAP
- CAP 643 (Agrium Redwater, Pembina NGL, Access Pipeline, North West Redwater Partnership, Suncor, Evonik)
Curious about non-routine industry activity?
The UPDATEline (1-866-653-9959) can be called 24 hours/day, seven days/week to get information from our members about unusual activity.
Several of our industry members are members of Responsible Care, a Canada-based, global organization that encourages industry to promote health and safety policies. Industry also supports the standards of the Alberta Construction Association which promotes safety awareness and accident prevention.
