Industry in the Region

Working with our Neighbours

NCIA is one of the partners of Life in the Heartland, a centralized resource for residents looking for information related to industry development such as project updates, environment, transportation and/or emergency response information.

In addition to Life in the Heartland, there are four Community Advisory Panels (CAPs) in the region where residents and industry meet on a regular basis to discuss topics of interest related to their community, or concerns they may have with industry. The four CAPs are:

 

 

There are also joint industry-neighbour meetings twice a year, where a host of companies meet collectively with neighbours at one meeting to discuss issues that are of concern to residents. These meetings encourage neighbours to attend one meeting with many industrial members, instead of several separate meetings.
